The Executive Governor of Katsina State; Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari inaugurates a solar motorized borehole in Bagaruwa village of Mani local government on Monday.

The water borehole which was donated by NIREK NILE FOUNDATION(a non governmental Organization) working under NILE DRILL TECH LTD was inaugurated by his Excellency at exactly 1:30pm.

Our correspondent reports that Masari in his speech at the inauguration ceremony said the project is a reminder to the Government and Government officials on how it has failed in providing its fundamental primary duties of providing the basic human necessities which includes health care, education and water which is the most important among others.


He called on government officials not to be carried away with the luxuries and protocols that come with the offices and forget about the primary objectives of why they are there.

He called on RUWASA and the district heads of the community to form an 11 man committee, 2 of which must be women to look after and maintain the borehole

The chairman of the foundation Dr. Muhammad Ali Dan-Hassan in his address said that the objective of this project is to improve the overall health and sanitary conditions of the people of Bagaruwa rural community by promoting their access to safe
drinking water.

He added that the organisation is going to train 4 youths from the community on how to maintain and repair the borehole.

@katgovmedia report that the Managing Director of Drill Tech Ltd; Mr. G S Redi said that they are ever ready to render their support to the NGO whenever and wherever they want to execute such a project.

The district head of the community extended the people’s goodwill messages to the Governor for all the projects that have been carried out in the area which includes schools rehabilitation, electricity provision and water projects.

The people of Bagaruwa community also gifted the Governor a cow to show their appreciation for all the good works he has been doing for them.

Recall that in recent times Katsina Media and publicity have reported on many water projects which are being carried out across the state.
