Saudi Arabia is the Holy land where Prophet Muhammad was born, and it was there his Prophethood began.

It is a special place distinct from among all places and made sacred since the creation of heaven and earth.

As such, millions of people of the Islamic faith do set aside their differences devoid of Race, Status, and Nationality in the spirit of oneness and togetherness in performing the annual hajj/pilgrimage, hence necessitating the need to coordinate, assist and create a conducive atmosphere for pilgrims at state level.

The task of organising and coordinating the annual hajj in Katsina state rest on the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board. So far, they have recorded remarkable achievements through provision of adequate welfare among other things to pilgrims to and from the holy land.

Under the able leadership of Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, the Board has achieved tremendous success in its operations in terms of provision of welfare services, public enlightenment at zonal offices, relief packages, subsidy on accommodation by dealing directly with the hotel owners, vaccination of intending pilgrims by the state ministry of health, and so on.

Katsina Media and Publicity obtained that from 2015 to date, a total number of 13,985 pilgrims performed Hajj under the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare.

As stated by the Board, a lot of the successes recorded from 2015 to date were as a result of support and the political will and commitment displayed by the Masari led administration.
